UPDATED:

Editorials and letters to the editor rave about Joe Biden. All I’ve seen is rampant inflation, a ban on oil drilling and a nation overrun with illegals.

The Sun Sentinel praised Biden for stepping aside. Nonsense! He was forced out by Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries.

One day before Biden’s big announcement, he said he wasn’t going anywhere. Now the party of democracy ignores his millions of votes in the primaries. So much for democracy.

In the debate, Biden said nobody died from war during his administration. He forgot the 13 who died in the exit from Afghanistan. And now, Vice President Harris, the administration’s immigration expert, told migrants in Guatemala “Don’t come,” followed by a major influx of illegal migrants.

Our strongest ally in the Middle East, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, came to Washington to address Congress and he was snubbed by Biden and Harris.

Now, Kamala Harris thinks she should be president. Has this world gone completely crazy?

Delusional Democrats

I’m not sure I live in the same world as you and the people whose letters you print. Biden had no choice. His own party ran him out. He’ll go down in history as our worst president.

With Trump, our economy was great. Democrats are delusional.

We have two wars, a disastrous exit from Afghanistan and millions of illegal immigrants who come here and sometimes kill innocent people.

Biden is the dictator. He says we can only drive electric cars and use electric ovens. Your paper should be impartial but you are so far to the left.

I will be waiting to see if you print my letter.

Don’t forget grocery and gas prices. He made our country weak and a joke in the rest of the world. Not to mention that pro-Palestinian protesters burn our flag.

Do the American people really think that’s OK?

Selfish, not selfless

The editorial claiming Joe Biden was selfless in his decision to not seek reelection was 100% incorrect.

If Biden were selfless, he would have announced a year ago that he was not seeking the nomination. This would have allowed a normal primary season with others vying for the position. Vice President Harris would have been tested against the others.

Biden’s team knew more than a year ago that he was beginning to experience mental deterioration. He was kept from the public. He had very few one-on-one interviews or unscripted press conferences.

He was forced out because the party elders were worried about losing more than just the presidency. They were worried about November.

Biden ended his campaign kicking and screaming, still unaware that he has lost it mentally.

He did serve in public office for a long time, and had he not sought the nomination, he would have been remembered in a good light.

Now he will be remembered as the man who stayed too long at the party. He was not selfless but selfish.

Harris has now been anointed by those same party elders. There will be no contest for her to prove herself, which she has not done. Thanks, Joe.

‘God’s candidate’

I’m surprised so many Republicans call Kamala Harris a “DEI hire” or a “DEI candidate” (for diversity, equity and inclusion).

DEI is also Latin for God, so I guess she’s God’s candidate. I’m confident she would never refer to herself that way, but it’s nice to know so many Republicans see her that way.
