The TPC Sawgrass offers two golf courses, both designed by noted golf course architect Pete Dye, and are known as the most difficult golf courses in the world. The Stadium Course opened 39 years ago and was the first of several Tournament Players Clubs to be built. Dye’s Valley Course opened in 1987.

The courses are home to the PGA Tour headquarters and host The Players Championship, one of the PGA Tour’s signature events, in March.

The TPC Sawgrass is situated on 415 acres in Ponte Vedra Beach’s Sawgrass development, about a mile from the Atlantic Ocean.

The Stadium Course, which was constructed specifically to host The Players Championship, was designed to improve the on-site fan experience and uses a distinctive “stadium” concept where fans are able to sit in “stands” made of raised mounds of grass.

It’s signature hole, the par-3, 137-yard 17th, known as the “Island Green,” is one of golf’s most recognizable and difficult holes.
