In 1960, when real estate pioneer Alfred Kaskel decided to build a golf course in South Florida, it was said he was creating a “monster” in the middle of a swamp. When the course first opened in 1962, it was known as the “Blue” course. Eventually, with its swirling winds, water hazards and tough play, it became known as the “Blue Monster.”

Today the resort is known as Trump National Doral Miami and features four championship golf courses:

The Blue Monster has hosted to PGA Tour for more than 50 years. The 7,608-yard course features a series of strategically placed deep bunkers, flowing fairways, undulating greens, deep Bermuda rough and a challenging assortment of water hazards.

The Golden Palm features a links-style course with wide-open vistas and unique bunkers. The course design elements are similar to the famous Blue Monster, with heavily contoured greens.

The Red Tiger features two island greens at #6 and #14. The design is reminiscent of a New England-style course and is set on 120 acres.

On the Silver Fox, water comes into play on 16 of the 18 holes. Marble-white sand bunkers and Celebration Bermuda grass blanket the course.
