Broward College recently announced the schedule of speakers for the 2019 Speaker Series to be held at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
Now in its sixth year, the annual series invites notable figures to speak to South Florida on a variety of topics. Past speakers included Dan Rather and Laila Ali. The 2019 series opens January 16 with economist and columnist Ben Stein and closes April 24.
“Our commitment to education expands beyond the classroom, as the College plays a key role in fostering social and cultural dialogue within the community,” said Broward College President Gregory Haile. “The Speaker Series connects our community with national thought leaders, trend-setters, and history-makers shaping social change.”
The speakers will share their experiences, behind-the-scenes stories and offer insight and opinions on current issues. Each lecture will take place at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Amaturo Theater beginning at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $60 to $80 and can be purchased here.
