Why are you running for this office, and what makes you the best candidate?
I’m running because, with the clerk’s office being the guardian of records for Broward County, the office should proudly support the judiciary and assure that the community has access and trust in the justice system through efficient services. I’m the best candidate becuase of my leadership, experience and passion.

Have you ever been arrested, charged or convicted of a crime, received a withheld adjudication or had a matter sealed or expunged? If yes, explain.
Yes. In 1989, I was pulled over and had my firearm inside the car, and it was not concealed. Adjudication was withheld, firearm forfeited and fine paid. However, court records were sealed.

Have you been a plaintiff or defendant in a civil action, including bankruptcy or foreclosure or had a restraining order issued against you? If so, explain.
NO

Identify three specific ways to make the office operate more efficiently.
1. Enhancement of use of technology
2. Prioritize staff development
3. Improve hiring procedures to fill vacancies

The current clerk fired a subordinate employee after she decided to run for clerk. Was this appropriate and how would you have handled it differently?
I feel that it was inappripriate seeing that she should have given the clerk time to resign from her current position, however, if any policies or procedures of the clerk’s office were violated, then the appropriate action was taken. I wold’ve advised the employee of any policies and procedures pertaining to them entering the race, then provided them with the opportunity to submit their resignation.
