Joseph Robinette Biden will be rated as one of the greatest presidents. Trump is already officially rated the worst.

Biden saved America and the free world from Putin and Trump’s death spiral. Biden has heroically decided not to run for a new term to continue his work keeping America the world’s economic and military leader.

He has flown around the world to honor Americans who gave their lives for freedom and met with world leaders to bring investment in future technologies back to America. The Promethean challenge of keeping America militarily safe and economically strong made him realize that duty to country was most important. He heroically made the decision to put the country above personal ambition and enrichment.

Biden’s experience in recognizing Kamala Harris’ brilliance and tutoring her in world economic and military affairs by naming her his top managerial partner has elevated all of us into a positive “can do” mindset. I’m so freaking stoked.

It’s Prosecutor Harris against the convicted felon who needs his parole officer’s permission to travel out of state. As John F. Kennedy said: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” Biden answered the call. God bless you, Joe!

Grateful for Biden

I am distressed, and I’m heartbroken, that President Biden has decided not to run for re-election. He has accomplished so many remarkable things for our standing in the world, as well as the poor, minorities, ill citizens and everyday Americans.

Who else chose a well-qualified Black and Asian woman as Vice President, put megabucks into fighting a deadly pandemic, successfully engineered long-promised legislation to rebuild roads, bridges and businesses, repaired our relations with many countries, and championed democracy at home and in the world?

As a student and as a teacher of American history, I rank him as one of our top presidents.

He’s the example of decency, bravery and patriotism. Like those who were around during the presidencies of Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman, I am glad to have been a voter during Joe Biden’s term as president.  Thank you, Joe.

Seeking a better life here

Thankfully, Donald Trump’s decision to turn his head to view a graphic chart, “Illegal Immigration into the U.S.,” saved his life on July 13. No candidate on the campaign trail should die by an assassin’s bullet.

But the lies written on the chart by Trump’s campaign have cost lives. People caught on Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s floating barriers with sawblades in the Rio Grande. People who died of thirst in the desert when border “vigilantes” spilled water bottles left by kind people. People who died from medical neglect in immigration prisons.

To their shame, Republicans at all levels repeat the lies. There’s no evidence that most immigrants come from prisons and mental institutions and are terrorists. Most immigrants flee organized crime, poverty, war, climate-related crop failures or gender-based violence. They only want to save themselves and their families and to work hard in their new homeland.

It’s no surprise that many immigrant families have a relative who’s serving in law enforcement or in the U.S. military.

Immigrants have experienced lawlessness. They have the best reasons of all to love the law.
