Marion Marsha Green OBITUARY

Marion Marsha Green passed away on August 10, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 18, 1942 to Milton and Hannah Vitow. After graduating Lafayette High School, she attended Brooklyn College and Long Island University.She studied early childhood education and library science which she received a master’s degree in both studies. She started working as a second grade teacher in Brooklyn in 1964. In 1973 she married Dr. Marvin Green and they moved to Florida in 1977. In 1978 she started working at Watkins Elementary in Pembroke Park as a Primary Care Specialists. She then transferred to Hollywood Central Elementary where she worked over 20 years as a Primary Specialists and Guidance Counselor.She retired from education in 2010.After retirement, she didn’t slow down. She continued to remain active with her close friends, book clubs and Lifelong learning. Her family remained the center of her life. She was married to Marvin for 47 years until his passing in 2019. She loved being with her children Melissa and Joshua, who both share her love for animals, especially dogs, people and community. She will forever be the light that shines for all who were fortunate to have met her. The Memorial Service for Marion will be held on Tuesday, August 13, at 2:00pm at Beth David Memorial Gardens 3201 North 72nd Avenue Hollywood, FL 33024.
