More ‘diverging diamonds’ are coming to Palm Beach County, changing how drivers access highways

At a traditional intersection that acts as an entrance onto an interstate, drivers trying to go either north or south typically approach a red light. Then, they lurch forward a few feet and have to wait through a second red light before making a sharp left turn and precariously merging onto whatever interstate awaits. It’s a universal experience for most drivers. But diverging diamond interchanges change that.
